Erin M. Smith is a professional singer and an active voice and music teacher. Erin holds a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from The University of Iowa and is a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing). Erin has a great deal of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings including private voice lessons, group voice lessons, elementary music teacher, and musical director/conductor.
As a professional singer, Erin has appeared in opera roles with Opera Providence, Cape Cod Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, MetroWest Opera, Boston Opera Collaborative, The BayView Music Festival and more. Erin has also appeared in musicals like The Music Man (Marian Paroo), A Little Night Music (Mrs. Segstrom/Anne Understudy), The Pirates of Penzance (Edith), and Grease! (Marty). Erin is also a frequent performer of oratorio with numerous choruses and orchestras in New England including The Falmouth Chorale, The Paul Madore Chorale, The Newton Community Chorus and The Choral Art Society of the South Shore.
